Defibrillators and Community First Responders

There are two defibrillators in the Village.

Their locations are:

Outside the Bridgewater Arms Pub Nettleden Road North, HP4 1PD

by the door to the public bar.

What three word location:   neutron.detail.impresses

Outside the Sports Pavillion – Church Road, HP4 1NX.

In an emergency the Code to unlock the cabinet is available by ringing 999.

The code  is also available in the Little Gaddesden Diary on the useful contacts page should you wish to keep a note of this in your mobile phone in the event of an emergency.

The Community First Responders for East of England Ambulance Service are  the Guardians of the defibrillators who receive a notification each time the cabinet is unlocked and may on occasion be despatched by 999 to assist where  appropriate.

The Community First Responders for East of England Ambulance Service run training every year on how to use the defibrillators.

Knowing how to use defibrillators is particularly important in rural communities.   Do keep an eye open for upcoming training**, it may save your or someone you know, life.   If anyone would like additional training the Community First Responders will seek to provide this.

**As part of this National campaign your local CFR group will be hosting training sessions in Basic Life Support and use of public Defibrillators from time to time

All welcome- no booking required
